Papa Ed is Kristi's dad and a really cool guy. He plays in multiple bands and is a great song writer and musician. (He's also pretty good on the grill) This past Sunday, at Issac's birthday party, he singled out Savannah and bought her a cool necklace and hooked Courtney up with a sweet mood ring! It may sound like something small, but they were really excited and blessed by that. They wondered why he would do something like that for them. That small act of kindness made my kids feel really special and loved and for that I wanted to recognize him! My kids mean a lot to me, and when you do something special for them, you're doing something special for me. Thanks, Papa Ed, for blessing my girls like you did on Sunday. I know that it was just a couple bucks out of the pocket, but for them it was a lot more!

That is really cool. Thanks for the kind words Issac. Although we got off to a rough start several years ago (me being the protective dad)Carol and I both love and care for you and your kids very much. Savannah, being the oldest and tasked with a lot of responsibilities, deserves to be rewarded at times. Even though the necklace is a small gift I am glad it touched her in a special way.
Well, I understand that I am not a parents idea of a great catch, and even less so back then. I was a new Christian and still had a LONG way to grow! By God's grace He has been faithful to transform me into the person that I am today. (which is still a sinner with a LONG way to grow) But I'm a little better off today then I was back then. Thanks for saying what you said, and thanks for being able to deal with me as a son in law. I understand all of the feelings you guys have had about me. I know that I don't deserve Kristi. I'm sorry she ended up with a guy like me. I will keep trying to love her like Christ loves the church though...I promise! Thanks again, Ed. ~Issac
