A Nice Breakfast

Disneyland Fever

I have Disneyland fever so bad right now it's not even funny. All I can think about is how to get to Disenyland again in the shortest amount of time possible. I also think about how much I want a Dole Whip or an Apple Pie Carmel Apple from Pooh's Corner. Riding Splash Mountain, Haunted Mansion, and seeing the amazing fireworks show also flood my thoughts. I'm not sure how healthy it is to have all these desires in one day, but I REALLY WANT TO GO TO DISNEYLAND!!! This picture was taken on our November trip last year with the Bransfords. The castle has snow on it for the holiday season. I love Disneyland so much. It truly is the Happiest Place on Earth and also Where Dreams Come True!

Discern 2008

Over the weekend Calvary Santa Fe hosted the Discern Conference 2008. There were 7 apologists teaching at the conference and they were amazing! I learned so much about how to defend my faith! The whole weekend was awesome. Issac hosted the conference since Paul was not feeling well and he did a great job! Pictured is the Q&A session where people asked questions for the teachers. My cell phone camera is lame, but from left to right: Issac, Steve Collins, Mike Gendron, Rob Bowman, James White, Bill McKeever, Bill Honsberger, and Ron Rhodes. These guys are great men of God and I thank God for gifting them.

Issac Rocked It!

I had no doubt that Issac would rock the teaching last night in the main sanctuary and he totally did! His message was entitled "You've Got the Gifts - Use Them!" All of us have been give spiritual gifts from God, whether it's teaching, exhortation, hospitality, whatever we've been given, we need to use them to glorify God and help the body of Christ function properly. God certainly doesn't need us, but He has given us the opportunity to use our gifts to glorify Him! You can check out his teaching at www.calvarysantafe.org - click on the Teachings tab. I'm so proud of him and the gifts God has blessed him with. Good job, Issac!

A Super Cool Weekend

I know, I know... it's Wednesday and I'm just now blogging about what happened over the weekend. I just never have time to stay up to date. Anyway... Friday was SO AWESOME!! Issac and I went to The Melting Pot with Kevin and Jenn. Usually we go once a year for my birthday because it's so expensive, but we decided to go just to hang out with our good friends... no big whoop! We spent 4 hours there, seriously, 4 hours, and enjoyed the four course meal (cheese fondu & dippers, salad, main dish, and dessert). After we ate we took a little stroll into Old Town - more like ghost town, no one was there - to try and walk off the tons of food we had just consumed. Good times!
On Saturday we had our friends Paul and Wendy Herrera over for some yummy chicken spaghetti and fellowship. If you haven't been over to our house for chicken spaghetti, please let me know so we can invite you over immediately! That stuff is so good! We played the Wii and Paul went about 10 rounds boxing the computer. It was awesome!
Sunday was church and Issac stepped in to help Paul Scozzafava (our Pastor) with communion service in the main sanctuary. It was his first time actually serving the communion to everyone rather than just being on the communion board. I didn't get to see him do it because I was in Regenerate, but he said he had a good time doing it. After church we relaxed a little and then went to Faith Bransford's birthday party at It'z. Faith is Eli & RoseAnn's youngest daughter who is Ikey's age. We went to Disneyland with Eli & RoseAnn last November - they're really good friends of ours as well.
So, there's my update. I'll try to blog about things as they happen... if I have time!

probably can't go due to the cost, but a man can dream.

Our Baby is Growing Up

Today is Issac's 6th birthday and also his first day of Kindergarten. We had a party for him yesterday at my parents house (pics to come soon) and had a great time. Thank you to everyone who came and for the awesome gifts! He got lots of new clothes and some really cool toys including a Batman gun, Hulk fists, an Indiana Jones toy, some little dalmation toys, and for the finale.... a Spiderman bike and matching helmet & pads! He also got some money!!
I can't believe that he is in Kindergarten. It doesn't seem that long ago when he was a little baby scooting around on his butt because he couldn't crawl. He was very independent in his class, telling me bye right away - he didn't really care if I stuck around or not. Some other kids were crying while he started playing with toys and other kids. We brought some cupcakes for the class to celebrate his birthday, so hopefully that will make him some more friends... haha, just kidding. I know he will do well and that God will protect him while he's in school. Please continue to keep all of the kids in prayer during this school year. Thanks!
